La Manga de Mar Menor, SpainIn the simplest of translations, La Manga de Mar Menor means “the sleeve of the little sea”.
The Mar Menor is a salty lagoon, which has been separated from the rest of the Mediterranean Sea by a strip of land 22kms in length and a width that varies from 100 to 1200 meters wide.
The area it self needs no explanation as to why it attracts such swarms of people, the lagoon is warm and the water is clear. It has been described by many as “the largest swimming pool in the world.” |
